This time I will be brief, as brief as this game is.
Dordogne is a little gem.
Set in France, we will be Mimi, a girl searching for her memories in the old house of her paternal grandmother Nora, now deceased.
The game will alternate between the Mimi of the present and the Mimi of the past, who will relive the summer when she was 12 years old, trying to discover what mystery lies behind her lost memories.
The gameplay is very simple, you will have to wander around the various maps, interact with various objects, solve small mini-games and collect collectables, but the strong point of this game is definitely not this, but a beautiful story with a hint of mystery, which will make you feel nostalgic for the summers of your childhood, and above all the graphics.
Playing Dordogne will feel like walking through a picture book. The settings are all well drawn and painted with really well realised watercolours, many times you will have the impression of being in front of a painting.
Even the few 3D models that are used have painted textures that blend well with the various sceneries, giving the whole thing a homogeneous look that will never let you out of the enchanted atmosphere you will find yourself in on the screen.
Dordogne is a short title, full of love and art, suitable to be played in one go on a warm summer's evening, whose atmosphere will make you think back to your childhood, when every holiday was an adventure full of discoveries.
